awesomely videogame-y!

Rabone responds:

YAY! THANKS CONRADE!

thats just great

i love gltchy/breakcore stuff, and dexter is one of the only tv shows i get excited about anymore. sounds like dexter on psychedelic drugs.

snayk responds:

Yeah Dexter is pretty much the only TV show I watch that I actually enjoy and look forward to.

Glad you liked it. Thanks for the review.

i love glitch/breakcore

this is so simple and awesome. it makes me want to dust off my nes and get down with old school contra!

check out my submission "lanimilbus" for more gameboy goodness.

ehh

i used to have an improv band called zombiecopter that sort of sounded like this, and all our songs were 20+ mins. are you using a line 6 spider on the guitar?
check out my sounds on here sometime.

Gunshy responds:

yeah wow thats not self-promotion... (sarcastic)
great band name. you and your buddies think of that all by yourselves?
and of course your songs were longer. congratulations.
no its not that line 6 box from one of the free catalogs. might the line 6 red box and most USB interfaces may as well be a sold explicitly as a starter kit - no offense intended. i'm not even professional grade... i use a soundblaster x-fi pci card with a front bay for ins and outs.. for this song i upgraded to the onboard ram version of the card because my old took a shit. i think that's what happened with the guitars on afterburn. too loud for the old card.
these box emulators are ok i guess, instead of buying fx pedals you just have the software. but i've found that using simpler software to record has an impact on the sound quality, like the processor doesn't have to do as much in addition to buffering the incoming sound. i'm sure the line 6 being usb 2.0 helps, but i prefer to plug straight into the computer, post fx pedals and all that. it just seems more punk to me. straight into the mixer, like early clash or nirvana on "territorial pissings" like its a more pure grungy sound than having the computer run the fx and record at the same time.
there are a lot of producers that shun using computers at all. but i dont think a lot of my shit sounds digitized. certainly not as much as radiohead or even the new offspring album. thats why i double-track the guitars when i can, to get a bigger sound. i know thats not too punk or grunge of a practice, but it sounds awesome, so fuck it.

this is mixed really badly

the vocals aren't great either. the keyboard/ horn, whatever it is, is just off key ever so slightly. the drums are not very good either.

its alright...but,

why is this on the front page?
whats the bear joke?

snayk responds:

LOL BEAR JOKE

GGGRRRRR

BEAR JOKE

I HAVE A TEN INCH BEAR

i know, yours is tough

but yu gotta check out my "ear bleeded"

thats very strange

i dont feel like a lot of my stuff fits into the cookie cutter genre system they use here. i like this song, lots of noises, like a nervous breakdown. i think you could slow this song down by about 44 bpm and it would just be sick.

nice

except for the fl studio drum loop.
great use of the 303 emulator.

Primeval5 responds:

Thanks
